Ockanickon Scout Reservation

Ockanickon Scout Reservation, sometimes just referred to as Ockanickon, is a Scout Camp provided by the Washington’s Crossing Council. The first week of summer, Troop 169 visited Ockanickon with 11 Scouts. We had heard a lot about the Ockanickon food, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. From breakfast bagel sandwiches, to Sloppy Joe’s, to barbecue buffalo wings, to sheets of danishes and cinnamon buns, the food was excellent. The counselors made the merit badges fun with plenty of extra activities, such as a volleyball tournament and air band (yes, that is what is sounds like – air guitar, but a with a whole band).  The additional merit badges at night, the campfires involving funny skits which included everyone, as well as other activities are what made Ockanickon a fun and truly enjoyable camp. Follow the link to go to Ockanickon’s webpage-http://www.ockanickon.org/
