Troop 169 is chartered by the Lahaska United Methodist Church in Lahaska, PA. The location of our charter is at the corner of Street Rd. and Route 202, New Hope, PA 18938. All Webelos and Arrow of Lighters are more than welcome to stop by and join in one of our troop meetings to see what Troop 169 is all about.
Troop 169 meets on Monday nights, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Lahaska United Methodist Church. At troop meetings, we do many things ranging from working on requirements for your next rank, to preparing for the Klondike Derby, to working on essential scout skills, to planning troop events, to working on merit badges, to cleaning and organizing troop gear from summer camps and camping trips. But we always have a good time with each other.
Troop 169 is big on service projects, and keeping our community clean. We hold 4 service projects a year. 2 of them are our bi-annual Hansell Park clean-up, one in the spring, and one in the fall. During the cleanup we pick up trash, plant bulbs, pull up weeds, and clean the park. Another service project we do is “Cranksgiving”, an event where bikers bike a course through Doylestown, stop in, and buy food at each of the three supermarkets they visit that will be donated to charity. Our job is to be stationed at one of the supermarkets, take the food from them they buy in the store, and have it ready for the pickup at the end of the day. The last service project we do is helping out with our charter’s annual Bazaar. We have multiple shifts, each helping set up the Bazaar or take it down.
