We arrived at a hostel on Friday night to camp for the weekend. On Saturday morning we were woken up bright and early by a train. We went into the town of Harper’s Ferry and hiked up to the top viewpoint to see all of Harper’s Ferry. We were supposed to cook trail meals, but our plans changed quickly when it started pouring. We took shelter in a local ice cream shop. We were happy that our lunch now became ice cream! We got back to the cars and headed back to camp. Some of the adults had to go back into town to do laundry because some of the scouts forgot to zip up their tents. Their gear was soaked and needed to be ran through a dryer. The rest of the day was relaxing by the campfire and cooking dinner.
